The Centre

 

St Lawrence’s Centre for Training and The Arts, South Walsham, is a former church that has been restored and now serves the community in this part of Norfolk. Alongside the medieval building, a Sacristan’s Garden has been created on the site of the former church nave.

The Quiet Garden

 

St Lawrence’s is a member of the Quiet Gardens Association, aiming to be a pilgrimage church where individuals find spiritual refreshment and prayer.  Quiet Garden days are held monthly.

 

Sacristan’s Garden

 

Alongside the beautiful restored medieval building, a Sacristan’s Garden has been created on the site of the former church nave which everyone can enjoy at any time.

 

Hire the Venue

 

St Lawrence’s can be hired by individuals or organisations for exhibitions, concerts, workshops and receptions.

 

The surrounding area

 

The Centre is set in Norfolk’s Broadland, in walking distance from South Walsham Broad and Ranworth.  Norwich is 12 miles & Great Yarmouth 11 miles distant.

 

Friends of St Lawrence Centre

 

The Centre is largely supported by donations, income from concerts, exhibitions and the voluntary help of the Friends of St Lawrence’s.  Friends enjoy reduced ticket prices to concerts.  To become a friend see the contacts page.
