Individuals, groups, societies etc may hire St Lawrence’s.  The tariff has been set at reasonable levels to encourage concert and exhibition organisers and the Trustees of St Lawrence’s are keen that the venue should be used for the community so some discretion on tariffs may be available, for example, charity events.

 

The Centre can comfortably seat up to 80 for concerts, is centrally heated and has a Blüthner grand piano, dressing facilities for artists, toilets and limited on-site parking.  Also available to organisers, on-site and without charge, are tables, chairs, flexible-staging, a servery for coffee/tea preparation and a large range of china, glass & cutlery. A local service for light refreshments can be provided on site - see contacts. Visitors will find that access and parking at St Lawrence’s is convenient, and that both toilets and access are suitable for disabled visitors.

 

The main area of St Lawrence’s offers 97 square metres of clear floor space. Over 50 metres of hanging rail and a picture-hanging system is available. There is natural lighting from the original tall church windows which is supplemented by high-level lighting, including spot-lighting for performances.
